| Watch and Pray, Stand and Serve |

March 9, 2010
This Friday, March 12, at 7:00pm the doors of the worship center will be open, inviting any and all to come pray.
We have no idea what will happen that evening!
We learned last Sunday in the 9:00am service, when the power surged and all the lights, video and sound equipment went away, that all the best laid plans of men can come apart in an instant. The Lord quickly told Dustin to change the music and have us sing “Coming Back to the Heart of Worship” where it is “All About You, Jesus!” Amen.
We know people have been experiencing incredible things with the Lord the last four weeks. So many of you have shared amazing stories with Pastor Dale, Dustin and myself. We know there are more testimonies to be told so we setup an e-mail account ( This e-mail address is being protected from spambots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it ) where folks can praise God and encourage the church with their stories. Perhaps Friday evening will include many stories of “seeing His face”.
Whatever Friday evening ends up being, your pastors have been simply praying that it will be a continuation of the great work the Lord has been doing among us and that we, as a church, would be available to Him, full of anticipation of His presence.
However, this will not just be a time of “feeling good with God”. Invariably, people who diligently seek Him with all their hearts find Him....and enjoy Him....and are healed by Him....and then hear Him say, “Stand up, now, and do the good works I have already prepared in advance for you to do. Be more than hearers of the Word; be doers of the Word”.
For many of us that will mean going from the “prayer meeting” to “places of service”. This was the essence of Pastor’s message last Sunday. In the “upside down kingdom of Jesus”, servanthood is held in high esteem. If we really believe that I think the sign up sheets for parking assistants, greeters, ushers and children’s ministry volunteers on Easter should about be full and overflowing this Sunday.
Remember, Daylight Savings Time starts this Sunday. “Spring ahead” or you might miss out on another incredible day at church! |
