RECOMMENDED BOOK

Our book reviewer, Amy Waid, has discovered a short (176 page) book called,

“I AM NUJOOD, AGE 10 AND DIVORCED.”

It is the true story of a young girl who is forced into a marriage with a man 3 times her age

and the remarkable strength and courage she needed to fight her way back to her family.  

This book is a window into a world very different from ours

and where women and girls desperately need an encounter with Jesus.

 The book can be found on Amazon or at the public library.

Every woman yearns for friends who will walk with her through life’s joys and sorrows.  Avalon’s Women’s Ministry is ready to join you on that journey.  

Our ministry includes opportunities to build an intimate relationship with Jesus Christ, to pray for one another, to encourage and be encouraged by other women.

We offer Bible studies just for women.  These studies are taught by women and are an excellent way to grow in relationship with Jesus Christ.  There are a variety of classes throughout the week, in both the mornings and evenings.  The classes are open to all interested women.

Special events are offered throughout the year to give women the opportunity to get connected with larger gatherings of our ladies and develop even more relationships.  

Women walking together for the glory of Jesus Christ is our goal.  Come be a part of what God is doing at Avalon Church.
